A Brand New Year Brings Brand New Changes!

Well, as the title suggests, it is indeed a brand new year; and we are well into it! I hope you all still have your new year's resolutions intact! This year, our resolution for our youth group is to improve our comunication.

Keeping that in mind, I introduce you to the newest addition - The Timetable 3.0! It has two year's worth of dates on there, although most blank, we've already gone a good way into filling up this year, and we hope to fill up the rest. I'm doing my best to comunicate all the different activites to you all better!

What else are we going to bring you this year? Well, we're hoping that people are going to submit some testimonies of their own for all to read. Easily done, just type up, contact me through the "contact us" section and I'll give you details from there! Also, more trips, more music and more good fun!

That's it for now. I'll try to keep you informed. Check back regularly, and God Bless you all, especially those who stood up last night to give their testimony with no practice.

A few new things

Well, our first youth meeting of this school year has come upon us, and it was pretty great. We got a lot of stuff sorted, and it sounds like this year, thinks are going to get good, well better than before anyway. So, in the season of improvements, I thought I'd mention some of the ones I have for you.

First of all is the timetable. I must apologize for the last timetable I did on version one of the youth website, it wasn't up to date, this year, I promise though, you can check here anytime to see where and what we are doing. Just to prove this to you, records will be extending forward at least three months in advance. Check it out now.

Another thing that helps this is our new leadership team, and our meetings. Those in the team are Matthew, Lizzie, Ben, Luke and Myself, with Alastair and Lucy in reserve. We'll be meeting on Thursday the 20th, in the garage. We are going to get things sorted!

Another thing to tell you is on the "about us" page. Go there and scroll down and you'll see a new feature of how to help us. On there there is a newly designed advert that with the code next to it, you can put anywhere on myspace, forums, blogs - anywhere you want. Go and have a look, and lets see if we can't take over the internet!

So, last of all, our first church meeting at Carr Hill was today. It went really well. Everything was smooth, relaxing and it just felt like a new home from the beginning. Good to see you if you were there, try and come next week if you weren't. For times and details check out the Cornerstone website. Well done to all those involved who made it go as well as it did!

Ok, sorry for the long post, there was a lot that had to be said. Anyway, see you all soon at our next Lyfe meeting. Have a good week, and God bless you!

A message to the readers

Good morning/afternoon! I just have a small thing to mention to everyone today. Stephen rang me up and has told me that we as youth are to be representing both our youth group and church at Penny Farm Horse sanctuary, on the 8th of September.

The reason I am contacting you is that we need at least twenty volunteers! What they need is for people to help out with their grand visiting day, helping out showing people round, general stewardship. The day will start at 9am and will finish at 5pm, food and drinks and even toilets will be provided.

Overall, not only will this be a great day out, seeing horses and meeting other people, but it will be a fantastic witness to everyone who meets us - approximately 7000 pass through on that day!

If you would like to get involved, contact me through the contact page, making sure to select the "other" option and specifying everything we'll need to know. Thank you for reading! Kristian

A brand new Web site Layout

It's taken me a few days to create this brand new layout for you all to enjoy. I got some great ideas from both Lizzie and Annelise, and I put them all together and formed this delight for you. I got rid of the old clutter lying around the place, and have tried to make it as clean and easy to use as possible.

You may notice a few new additions to the site. There are six, fully functional games, three new, three old. There are eleven brand new songs in the official Lyfe Music player (along with the Lyfe movie trailer). Oh, and the best addition: forty-eight new, high resolution pictures of all our recent excursions! All free to enjoy without those old ads!

The links are all at the top in the header, just click as normal, if you're having any trouble there. There may also be some other bugs I'm not aware of so if you find any, please go to the contact us page, and fill out a bug report form, and send it to me!

Finally, thank you for using this web site! It is because of you that we have put all of this up, to provide information, fun and a way of contacting us! God Bless you all!

A Couple of things

The LYFE movie trailer is now up and running! Go to the jukebox and you'll see it in beautiful youtube-vision. Its a great piece of work made by Lizzie, so I'm sure she'd appreciate all praise given to her on the forums. Well done Lizzie! Go now, and enjoy. Also, if you have any footage for the movie, then can you get it to her by mid november asap!

The other thing, if you go on the forums and into your profile options - then you can change your view of the forum! Make it how you want it. Just another great option we offer you here at lyfeyouth.org!

Thanks for reading, now go and watch that trailer!
